Paris MoU’s mission is to eliminate the operation of sub-standard ships through a harmonized system of Port State control. Annually more than 18.000 inspections take place on board foreign ships in the Paris MoU Ports, ensuring that these ships meet international safety, security and environmental standards, and that the crew members have adequate living and working conditions.
In this frame, PH.R.S being in full compliance with the quality and quantitative requirements raised by the MoUs, has achieved to improve its performance in Paris MoU, as a recognized organization in the Paris MoU Recognized Organization Performance table 2014-2016. PH.R.S. attained and excess factor of 0.28 ranking in “Medium” Performance level, compared to last year’s excess factor 0.55.
All this has been achieved within a continuously demanding maritime environment, where the inspections’ rate has been significantly increased and the inspection criteria have become stricter in order to ensure that all ships will comply with the rules & regulations for the safety of life at sea and the protection of the marine environment.
